Our Vision
At Northlake we believe kids are not just the FUTURE of the church, but that kids ARE the church. We desire to partner with parents for the holistic formation of their kids, which is why we consider our kids gatherings more than just childcare. Each Sunday we invite kids to dig deeper into their relationship with Jesus and fully live the life God has for them.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Check-In
Each of our kids’ areas has check-in stations ready for your family when you arrive. We require that all kids are registered and checked-in by a parent or guardian for their safety and security. For new or visiting families, in order to enjoy a smooth and shorter check-in process, please register in advance on Church Center.
Each child receives a name tag, and their parent receives a corresponding pickup I.D. tag.
Program
Sunday is the primary day Northlake Kids gather together to play, learn from Scripture, practice community and pray. Our classrooms are a fun, safe and engaging environment. We provide unique small group experiences for infants - 5th grade. During our 9AM service grade school kids join the congregation in worship before being dismissed to Kids' Workshop.
Pick Up
After the adults’ main service, parents present your I.D. tag at the check-in station, and our kids’ ministry team will be notified to dismiss your child.
Resources
It is our deep hope and desire that every adult and child would learn to fully live by following Jesus. With that in mind we desire to partner with families in their life journey by providing meaningful experiences for kids and their adults.
On Sundays, our elementary kids gather for both a large group teaching and a small group time. Utilizing Wonder Ink, we'll journey through the scriptures while exploring these core values: God Knows Me, Jesus Loves Me, The Holy Spirit Leads Me, and I Am A Child Of God. Parents are encouraged to create an online account for ongoing access to lesson videos, discussion questions, and more resources for discipleship at home.
KIDS’ WORKSHOP
Little ones ranging from newborn to pre-K are welcome during both the 9:00am and 10:30am services. All of our classrooms are staffed with at least two strictly vetted team members who are ready to play with and teach your children about the love of Jesus in safe and loving environments. Through age-appropriate lessons and activities we focus on these four basic, yet very important truths: God Knows Me, Jesus Loves Me, The Holy Spirit Leads Me, and I Am A Child Of God.
EARLY CHILDHOOD
Newborn - 2 Years
You can expect lots of snuggling and play time in this area! Children will hear a Bible story every week. By 2 years old they will add on to their experience by doing fun but simple craft or activity projects.
2 Years - Pre-K
In this area you can expect lots of playing, singing, dancing, laughing and learning about Jesus! We LOVE to spend time playing games and doing crafts that enhance our learning and understanding of the lesson.
Thursday Tiny Tots
A gathering place for adults and their little ones, birth- pre-K, on Thursday mornings from 10am-11:30am. Come for a time of hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones while our little ones play.
