Paco & Priscila Valdez

Paco and Priscila were both born in Guatemala. Priscila's dad was a pastor and she grew up in a strong Christian home. Paco left home at age 12 for better educational opportunities. He received his teaching degree and was working in a school in Guatemala City when he attended an Evangelistic Crusade and was led to Christ. Priscila also became a teacher. After they married, they both felt the Lord calling them to enter the Central American Theological Seminary. As they pastored for 10 years, they recognized a big opportunity for ministry in caring for families who bring sick family members to a large hospital for treatment. Many of them were very poor from far away rural areas and had no place to stay in the city. The Valdezes began taking coffee and bread and sharing the love of Christ to these suffering families. God has given them wonderful ministry of mercy and evangelism. The Kairos House opened in the fall of 2003. This home provides a safe place where these hurting individuals can see Christ's love exhibited in tangible ways that are so meaningful to those who find refuge there. The goal of Kairos house is to show the hurting the unconditional love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by being His hands and feet through acts of service.
