My path to Children's Ministry started with a tug...a tug on my heart. Put simply, a call for people to teach Sunday School was issued and I felt the tug. Our kids were toddlers at the time, so my husband Joe and I thought kindergarten would be a good fit. Each Sunday was funny, surprising and a little intimidating...those kids knew their bibles! Then came AWANA where I served as a leader until my third child was born, at which time I decided to take a break, (not realizing how much I would miss it). Shortly thereafter, the call once again went out, this time for an AWANA Sparks leader and again, I felt the call. This has proved to be a rewarding experience as Wednesday nights have become something I look forward to, watching children love the Lord with excitement...an excitement that is contagious. Time and again I go home with my heart full of God's love. This has led me to where I am now, Children's Ministry Assistant...the biggest, unexpected tug.Away from church, my husband Joe and I love to spend time with our three children, ages 7, 5 1/2, and almost 3. We love to camp, hike, sail and play together. I also enjoy kayaking, running, biking, swimming, reading and spending time with friends.
