I was born and raised in Bothell, Washington. I went to Cedar Park Christian high school followed by two years at Cascadia community college. From there I moved down to Portland, Oregon where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Bible and theology from Multnomah Bible University. In between my two years at Multnomah I married my lovely wife, Krystin.

I was blessed to have grown up in a Christian household. Some of my earliest memories are of singing songs in Sunday school with my parents. When I was 10 years old my family starting attending a new church where I accepted Christ. I always knew that there was a God who loved me, but it was then that I finally understood that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is the only way that I could have a relationship with God. Only 3 years later I was in a youth service when my middle school pastor encouraged us to pray about what God wants us to do in our lives. During this time I felt an undeniable call to be a pastor to students. Fun fact, before that day I was dead set on being the president, which I quickly dropped to pursue ministry (thank the Lord).

From that day forward I looked for any and ever opportunity available to serve in and be a part of student ministries. As time went on, God used numerous people and opportunities to reaffirm the calling He has put in my life. I have served in ministry for about 5 years. I started out as a youth ministry intern at Canyon Hills Community Church in Bothell, Wa. That position moved to a full-time role after I graduated college. From there, God called me and Krystin to go down to Phoenix, Az where I was a student pastor at Central Christian Church. We were in Phoenix for 16 months before God opened the doors here at Northlake.

My favorite part about working with students is being able to teach God’s word in way that is easy to understand but totally life changing. I love showing students how essential the Bible is to our everyday lives and teaching them how to really own their faith.
